Cialis - The Erectile
Dysfunction Drug is in High Demand
Cialis is different from other currently approved products
for Erectile Dysfunction. It stays in the body longer.
However, there were no studies that directly compared
the clinical efficacy and safety of Cialis to other
products.
Cialis works by enhancing the effects of one of the chemicals the body normally
releases into the penis during sexual
arousal. This allows an increase of blood flow into
the penis and it acts faster than Viagra.
FDA has approved Cialis for the treatment of men who
experience difficulty having and maintaining an erection
(impotence). Although
there are other drugs on the market for this indication,
this drug is different because it may work up to 36
hours after dosing.
Approximately 5% of trial patients taking Cialis reported
side effects
including headaches and heartburn. Viagra is not recommended
for men with heart conditions who are taking drugs that
lower blood pressure or who are recommended not to have
sex because of their heart condition, and Cialis will
carry similar warnings. But other men with heart disease
can safely take the drugs, says Lilly.
Cialis works exactly like Viagra with only one difference.
Cialis has the ability to target the PDE5 receptors
better. PDE5 enzymes control different actions of cells
in the body including the brain, heart and eyes. If
these receptors are not targeted effectively, certain
side effects can occur such as blurred vision, headaches,
nausea, and/or heart complications.
It also works for more people. In clinical trials Viagra,
was found to work for 75% of people that tried it. Under
the same test conditions Cialis was found to work for
88% of men that tried it. Researchers claim it works
twice as fast as Viagra with fewer side effects.
