Does Stress and
Frustration leads to Impotence??
Impotence can occur due to physical or psychological
condition of a man. Physical may occur due to various
other diseases like high
blood pressure, vascular
disease, hormone imbalance, alcoholism, diabetes
etc.
Psychological can be due to stress and anxiety, lack
of confidence, fear of failure, and problems with your
relationship.
Stress now a days is playing a crucial role in the
life of people. Stress can be related to anything. Working
couples are most affected by stress. They have to manage
so many things at a time. Stress interferes with your
work, your ability to concentrate, and even your ability
to have fun. Stress can be in various forms like work
stress, family stress, relationship stress and money
stress.
Work Stress - It is related to one’s
work or professional life. Stress due to working for
long hours in the office and giving less time for themselves.
Family Stress – When a person
is not able to provide proper time to his/her family
members. Stress can be due to some personal problems
like tension in family.
Relationship Stress – Sexual
boredom, tension or anger among partners, and lack of
intimacy and communication are all possible triggers
of erectile dysfunction.
Money Stress – Lack of money
or financial crisis leads to this kind of stress.
Stress leads to Impotence. It is now proven fact that
in stress individual cannot perform well. Frustration
comes naturally when an individual does not perform
well according to his/her expectations.
When a person is under stress various ways to cope
up with stress are:
• Lower your expectations; accept that there are
events you cannot control
• Ask others to help or assist you
• Take responsibility for the situation
• Engage in problem solving
• Express distressing emotions. Be assertive instead
of aggressive. "Assert" your feelings, opinions
or beliefs instead of becoming angry, combative or passive.
• Maintain emotionally supportive relationships
• Maintain emotional composure
• Challenge previously held beliefs that are no
longer adaptive
• Directly attempt to change the source of stress
• Distance yourself from the source of stress
• Learn to relax
• Eat and drink sensibly
• Stop smoking or other bad habits
• Exercise regularly
• Maintain a healthy sense of self-esteem
Studies are going on to find various factors responsible
for Impotence.
But stress is one of the major causes of impotence as
a person going through stress couldn’t get proper
blood flow required for erection.
Since it is hard to avoid stress, learn to control
it. Learn new ways to relax, such as deep breathing,
meditation, relaxing muscles, music, or biofeedback.
Talk to someone about things that upset you. Once stress
is gone out of your life, things will come to normal
again gradually.
