Thiazides among the medicines used to treat hypertention are known to cause most commonly the Erectile Dysfunction. Beta-blockers could be the second most common.

Similarly antidepressants and medicines for psychiatry problems too can cause ED. They go thus - Buspirone (Buspar), Lorazepam (Ativan), Amitriptyline (Elavil), Meprobamate (Equanil), Nortriptyline (Pamelor), Phenytoin (Dilantin) and others used to treat depression and psychiatric problems.

Medicines with anti-histamine formulations like Phenytoin (Dilantin), Parkinson's disease medicines like Biperiden (Akineton) and Bromocriptine (Parlodel), Chemotherapy medicines and also recreational and analgesics too known to men’s sexual health.

Short term usage of the medicines has been found to be often reversible, but long-term usage has to go with caution.
