“Child sex images were found on his computer and compact discs after police were alerted to the missing laptop by his previous employer” said by Crown prosecutor Petrina Clohessy.

“Nine video files and 16 images featuring children aged between seven and 15 engaged in sex acts were found.”

He used to download 1000 adult pornographic images a day in an attempt to "self-cure" erectile dysfunction. .

Mr Wilson said that he has no interest in child pornography. These images make him disguised but he is doing all this to cure its erectile dysfunction and not for money As he had not paid for nor distributed the files.

Mr Wilson said the offences contributed to the loss of Nolan's marriage of 18 years and the freedom to work in his chosen field as a computer programmer, at least while on bail

He was now having counseling for his marital and medical issues.

Several references - including one from his former wife and his brother - were tendered to the court for consideration.
